Here at Juicyway, we are committed to making moving money in a manner that is secure. However, safety requires some degree of scrutiny, which is why, from time to time, we may ask for additional information about a deposit. This process is called a Request for Information (RFI).
What is an RFI?
An RFI (Request for Information) is a routine part of our process where we might ask for more details regarding a transaction you’ve made. This could include something as simple as the source of the funds, a transaction screenshot, or basic details about the sender.
For example: You’re a small business owner in Nigeria who receives payments from overseas. You deposit funds through Juicyway, as usual. But this time, your transaction is flagged, and you’re asked to provide an invoice or further details about the deposit.
This doesn't mean your account or the transaction is being investigated. It’s simply part of our compliance-first approach to make sure everything is in order and adheres to global regulations.
Why do we do this?
USD is a globally regulated currency, and as such, all platforms that handle it — Juicyway included — are expected to follow strict financial rules. These rules exist to ensure that the system remains transparent, trustworthy, and secure for everyone involved.
Our compliance checks help us:
- Meet international anti-money laundering (AML) standards
- Protect you and other users from fraud
- Strengthen our partnerships with payment providers and financial institutions
Some common triggers for an RFI on a transaction include:
- Unusual transaction Patterns: If a transaction doesn’t match your usual behavior, we might reach out for more information.
- Large transactions: Big payments, especially above a certain amount, might need extra verification for security and compliance.
- Information mismatch: If there’s a mismatch in your details (like incorrect account details), we’ll ask for clarification.
- International transfers: Sending money overseas may require additional checks to comply with regulations.
- New accounts or transactions: If it’s your first big transfer or you’re new to Juicyway, we might request more info to ensure everything’s good to go.
- Regulatory changes: Sometimes, new rules or compliance checks prompt us to ask for more details.
- Currency conversions: If you're exchanging currencies rapidly or unusually, we might need to confirm a few things.
- New or unfamiliar sources / recipients: Sending to or receiving from a new contact might trigger an RFI for verification.
What can you expect?
If we need more information, here’s what you can expect:
- We’ll clearly communicate what’s needed from you
- We’ll keep the process as straightforward as possible
- We’ll review the information quickly so we can process your deposit
Once the review is complete and your deposit is cleared, your account will be good to go, with no further action needed.
While delays or requests for additional information can feel frustrating, they are an essential part of ensuring we provide a safe, transparent service for all our users. This helps us protect you and maintain the integrity of our platform, keeping bad actors at bay.
We know it’s never fun to hit a speed bump on your transactions, but it helps us build a safer product and to keep bad actors at bay.
If you ever have questions about an RFI or a pending deposit, our Support team is always ready to help.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
